Hyderabad, 10th April 2013..We are happy to inform that Rifle Association of Andhra Pradesh (RAAP) in association with the National Rifle Association ( NRIA) conducted the opening ceremony for 22nd All India G.V Mavlankar Shooting Competition and 56th National Shooting Championship competition in the big bore events at the Lake line Ranges (300mts), Yapral on 10th April 10, 2013
The inauguration ceremony was attended by large number of people from the Police CISF,BSF,IT BP and Civilians. There were large number of guests present including shooters , organizers and spectators.
The delegates who were present for the inaugural had spoken in length with regards to this particular competition, about RAAP and shooting in general. The guest present today who was the star among others was no other then Mr. Gagan Narang, the Olympic medal winner in last Olympic games.
The speakers and the delegates present on the dais where Mr. Gusti Noria Vice- President, RAAP, Mr. K R Suresh Reddy former Speaker AP legislative assembly and Chief patron of RAAP , Mr. T P Das IPS Principal secretary, (home) Mr Gautham Sawang- Additional D.G, APSP. Who is also a Parton of RAAP, Major General Cyrus Pithawalla, GOC, Andhra Sub Area, Mr. Amit Sanghi President RAAP and Vice President NRIA.
We are also very happy to inform that Mr.Amit Sanghi has been re-elected as Vice president of NRAI and Mr.Darius Chenai has been elected as Joint secretary of NRAI in the recently held elections.
The event will have about 400 shooters participating from all over India out of which 100 shooters are female shooters and which will be the largest Big bore rifle shooting event ever witnessed. This prestigious event has been organized by RAAP purely by the contribution of AP shooters. The chief sponsor the event is Visaka group.
10th to 14th April 2013 All India G V Mavlankar Shooting Competition (Pre- national competition) in Big Bore. Prize distribution for this event will be on the 14th evening at 3.00 pm
15th to 20th April 2013 – National Shooting Competition Championship. Prize distribution and the closing ceremony for this event will be held at 4pm on the 20th
